HEICConvert is a privacy-first tool. Your files are processed entirely within your browser and are never uploaded to any server. We believe your photos are your business, and we have designed our service accordingly.
Data We Collect
Files
None. All HEIC to JPG/PNG conversion happens locally in your browser using WebAssembly technology. Your files never leave your device. No files are uploaded, stored, or processed on any server.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and is fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR. We only see anonymous, aggregate data such as page views and referral sources.
Local Storage
We store your dark/light mode preference in your browser's localStorage. This is a functional preference only and contains no personal information.
Cookies
HEICConvert does not use cookies. Our analytics provider (Plausible) is cookieless by design.
Third-Party Services
- Plausible Analytics — Privacy-friendly analytics (no cookies, no personal data).
- Vercel — Hosting provider for serving the website's static files.
Children's Privacy
Our service does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
